Butler Area JV Tournament
When: Saturday, December 12, 2009
Where: Butler Intermediate H.S.
Weigh-ins: 8:00 - 9:00 Wrestling: 10:00

Eligibility: Non starters or starters who have JV experience and only fill a varsity weight class.
Weights: 14 PIAA weight classes plus a 1-pound weight allowance.
Matches: 2-2 min. periods from neutral position.
Overtime as per PIAA.
Format: Double elimination on 4 mats. We will use 16 man brackets and split the brackets into two
pools where necessary. We will stick to the state mandated 5 match maximum and provide a criteria
for third and fourth if needed. Winners of each pool will not wrestle each other.
You may enter up to 2 wrestlers at each weight class and we will separate
them. There will be no team scoring kept.
Entries: Email your line-up to gtwcoach@yahoo.com by Thursday, December 10th. If I do not confirm your line-up via email, assume I did not receive it and contact me by phone or send it again. Please call if you have any scratches that you may know about by 9:00 Friday evening. We will accept no more than 18 teams this season. . You should have your wrestlers plan on making weight upon arrival the morning of the tournament just like your varsity team does in order of weight class. Also bring a NWCA weigh – in form!
Registration: for a team of 10 or more is $150, individuals are $15 a wrestler.
Send checks payable to Butler Area Wrestling Boosters. You may send checks to Butler Athletics, 120 Campus Lane, Butler, PA 16001 with attention to Scott Stoner Tournament Director. Please report to the weigh-in to assure your registration fee was received and to scratch any wrestlers who will not be competing.
Awards: Top three wrestlers in each pool in each weight class receive T-Shirts.
